Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

In a nightmarish near future, vicious vampires rule the night, and a class of bounty hunters have emerged to keep their numbers in check. When a young woman named Charlotte disappears, her wealthy father hires the mysterious D to track down the noble vampire that abducted her. D is not only a vampire hunter, he is also a human-vampire hybrid known as a dhampir, cursed to move between the two worlds without fully belonging in either. His mission seems simple enough, but between competing against other hunters and uncovering the truth that Charlotte left willingly to pursue a forbidden romance with her vampire lover, our tortured hero becomes embroiled in a swirl of supernatural action. A classic of the genre presented in the U.S.
