Elsinore

Set in 1980s London and based on a true story, this deeply emotional and inspiring drama follows the life of Ian Charleson, the British actor who broke out in the 1981 Oscar-winner Chariots of Fire. Powerfully portrayed by Irish star Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers, Ripley), Charleson is now a few years past fame, and on the search for another substantive part. When Daniel Day-Lewis abruptly drops out of a performance of Hamlet at the prestigious National Theater, Charleson gets one last shot, but stricken with HIV/AIDS, the famously challenging role will prove to be the most courageous performance of his lifetime.
