Founded in Chicago 1895, Schwinn provided kids and adults with a sense of freewheeling fun and liberation for nearly 100 years before its bankruptcy in 1992. This lively documentary explores Schwinn’s storied impact, from its introduction of the early “World” bicycle model to its iconic Sting-Ray and its widespread influence in the worlds of BMX and mountain biking. But the film also reveals how the once dominant company struggled in the face of changing economies and fads and business forces ultimately led to its demise.
