Your Story Matters: Storytelling Through Words and Art

Join us for a workshop exploring the power of personal narratives through poetry inspired by Chilean arpilleras (story quilts), conducted by Dani Moon. We will begin with a short poem by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Gwendolyn Brooks, reflect on the importance of individual stories, and use writing prompts to uncover meaningful experiences from our lives. We will then translate these narratives into small visual artworks using collage and mixed-media materials. No writing or artistic experience is necessary.
